This month Occupy Venice follows up their last topic, Water, with an expose on Food. Specifically we will examine the American food system since the ‘Green’ revolution and expose the deeds of Monsanto, the largest proponent of GMOs. While most civilized countries in the world are banning GMOs, the USA is lagging behind in even labeling them. Local Expert, David King, will speak on the topic. As director of the Venice Learning Garden he is acutely aware of this issue and the solutions we citizens have to combat it. Our new location is really special and we are excited to be there. The Electric Lodge is a solar powered performance space and the premiere arts venue in Venice. We will once again have delicious free food, organically sourced. Please arrive by 7:00pm to eat. Our menu will feature Pan-Asian cuisine.
As always donations welcome for this free event and community service
