“We Are Palestine” Exhibition of West Bank Artists Opening Reception @ Levantine Cultural Center – 6pm-9pm, Free, All Ages
The Inside/Outside Gallery will show a touring Palestinian art exhibition of 16 new works from West Bank artists, with an opening reception Sept. 30, 7-9 pm. Entitled “We Are Palestine,” the exhibition includes paintings, photography and mixed media and will be on display through Nov 1, 2013. Originally titled “Room for Hope,” the collection offers an eclectic selection of work by both Christian and Muslim artists from Bethlehem and the surrounding region. Part of A Celebration of Palestinian Culture Sep. 30-Oct. 6.

Vassy is from Australia, lives in LA, is known for her philanthropy work with charity groups and an advocate for civil rights. Vassy is affiliated with various foundations around the world and volunteers as a music teacher at a teenage orphanage in LA. Vassy’s goal is to inspire people to fight for their dreams.
