(UPDATE 3/20/13: There are still a few tickets left so better hurry!)
The CentricTV Happy Hour Tour is halfway through its free concert tour of 10 cities nationwide in 4 weeks, featuring R&B, hip hop and soul singers in intimate shows with complimentary cocktails and soulful cuisine. They stop in LA on Friday, March 22, at the Playhouse in Hollywood with a special performance by V. Bozeman, born right here in South Central Los Angeles! The first time I heard of her was when I saw this exquisite (and not work-safe) video of Timothy Bloom‘s ‘Til The End of Time.

V. Bozeman also goes by That Girl V, the Visitor and simply V (short for Veronika) and comes from a family of strong women. She was chosen by MSN and Lexus for their Fresh Perspectives campaign, for which she wrote the song Don’t Let It Go, to empower young girls.

V has been garnering huge attention with songs like Poison and her provocative video of her cover of Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd, in response to their use of the Confederate Flag. To add to the significance of her message, she released the video on President Obama’s inauguration. V is now signed to Cee Lo Green‘s production company and is already making huge waves! Go to the Centric Happy Hour Tour’s Facebook page to find out how to RSVP to this special show for free AND win a chance to meet her backstage!
