Free Preview & Seats for the Drama The Bird House by Cherokee Playwright Diane Glancy

At this past Sunday’s Ecléctica, I met the wife of one of the performers of an upcoming play The Bird House. The play is written by Diane Glancy, award-winning nationally recognized Native American author, poet and playwright and delves into one Midwestern family’s struggles and whether natural gas fracking in their community is a boon or bane and features many Native American actors in the cast. The play is having its world premiere run from March 1-17 at Native Voices at the Autry, the only Equity theatre dedicated exclusively to Native American works. You can find free tickets with a small service charge to their preview nights February 27-28 and regular nights March 1-17 at Goldstar.
